Okay. I’ve had about fucking enough.
What this is is fear mongering and rape culture gone wild.
I don’t know what’s brought this abomination of a post back and I don’t fucking care, but it was bullshit 6 months or whatever ago and it’s bullshit now.
The first thing on the list is to tell women to change their hair. doesn’t that strike you as missing the point? It’s turning rape into something that is compartmentalized and done by mythic eeeevil rapists rather than people who turn other people into objects for their pleasure, to exert their power over them.
All this shit is doing is outlining how you deserve to be raped if you don’t follow all of these steps.
How about we stop telling women to be scared and instead start telling rapists not to look at length of a skirt as an indicator of humanity.
There are other people who will have more evidence and better points but I feel that it’s worth mentioning that you don’t have to do any of this to avoid being raped. No one deserves it. It’s a horrifying scary thing and we need to stop it happening not make people feel ashamed and like they deserved it for being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
